Jordan was a phenomenal skeleton. I had no face paint, so I used waterproof mascara. It worked well because he couldn't rub it off. Although, we never even showed him what he looked like in the mirror. He would have freaked out.

Dylan wore this frog costume that my mother made about 20 years ago. He wanted to be a scary frog after seeing Jordan, so he ribbit-growled. And yes, the mouth opens so he could see better.

We started trick or treating at 4pm. We got home at 10:30pm. We also had about fifteen pounds of candy in tow. Next week, we will be fifteen pounds heavier.

Well, mama will have to help out the boys with the sweets.
This year my daughter improved slightly. No crying and going home at the first sight of a mask. Quote the mantra "It's just children under the masks, there's no such thing as monsters, it's just pretend" for 2 weeks. Next year I reckon she'll be dressed as Freddie.
how in the hell did you manage to troll for candy so long? weren't the kids bitchy? high on a sugar rush? weren't you exhausted? truly, the mind boggles. I hope you got candy that was worth all that time spent.
Monty- Mama's helping them out plenty. No need to worry. I am so happy that mini-me tolerated it this year. I know you were prepared for the worst.
Jock- they were alright until about 8:30. We had limited their intake to a Tootsie Roll or two until then. It was all downhill from then. They ran rampid through our familiy's houses- making themselves at home. They also fell asleep a couple times in between houses.
We are obligated to family for the first few years. After that, I'm opting out.
