Put down that turkey leg, and raise your glass.

It has been a turbulent year for all of us. There have been no exceptions for Jordan either. From hypoglycemia, colic, and MRIs to hospitalizations, allergies, and acid reflux- Jordan's been through a lot for one year.

Before Jordan, our house was quiet. Very quiet. My biggest fear when I was pregnant was to have a baby who was loud, wouldn't sleep, and would generally disturb the "zen" our family coveted so much. Jordan was born, and cried through the majority of his first year.

Jordan screamed new life into our family. He drove us to our breaking point, and pushed us even further. For all of this, he has rewarded us with a more dynamic, colorful, and humorous view of family, love, and life.

Happy birthday, sweet boy.
