Slick Move

It's winter. (duh) During this time of year, my skin is in shambles. My hands, elbows, and knees suffer the most. In order to prevent my skin from completely peeling off of my entire body, I decided to slather lotion on consistently. While I thought it would do the trick, it didn't. The lotion couldn't compare to the cold air, wind, and electric heat. Obviously, I have to step it up a bit. Vaseline. Every night before I go to bed, I have started to grease myself up like a little, sweaty pig in hopes that it would work. Guess what? It did. Not only was my skin adhering to my body as it should, my skin is sooo, very soft. Very nice. So, if it does wonders for my skin, it should work wonders for my scalp and hair, right?

Are you laughing?

Yeah you are. Thanks for the compassion, jerks.

Four days after my little experiment, I have not been able to leave the house without a hat on. Vaseline is nearly impossible to get out of hair. What an ass. I have gone through two boxes of cornstarch and a bottle of Dawn. While my hair isn't as bad as it originally was, I am still able to take the rubber band out of my ponytail and still have my hair maintain the same shape.

So, let this be a lesson to all of you out there. And, if you're snickering at me because you "could have told me that," well, then you should have.

Yes, Mark took pictures, but I am not too sure that I want them posted.

So there was no "what not to put on your hair class" at your school then?

I blame Bush.

When we were kids my younger sister used Avon's Skin So Soft as shampoo. It took my mom forever to remove it's greasy residue. Now people use it as bug repellant.

Sybill Shepherd claims to have used valeline on her skin for thirty years. But not, I take it, on her hair. I think Carmen Diaz experimented with it, among other things.

Wow, vaseline! Great for tough dry skin.
Next time for the hair though, try mayonaise or honey.
I would try a baby shampoo like Johnson's to get it out...that stuff can strip paint I have heard.
Lemon juice? Something to cut the petroleum.
Oh! What that cigarette too if you smoke, it is highly flammable.
Careful you!

Monty- I stubbed my toe on the coffee table this morning and blamed Bush.

Carrie- Note taken. I will now never use Vaseline or Skin So Soft in my hair.

Joe- I met an older woman at a hotel bar once who looked to be about 60. She was 78, and vaseline was her secret too. She didn't look like she had put it in her hair either.

Jock- Ha, I knew you would take it there. FIRE!

Blue- I'm going to stick with shampoo and conditioner. I don't dye my hair or put tons of hair products in it. I don't know what I was thinking. I'm moving to paint stripper today.
